Official information sheet PDF

The six-page document covers contacts and grave types but does not contain a site plan.

Available orientation

The current visitor information does not publish a compact official site-plan PDF. The interactive map therefore shows selected entrances and landmarks with precise locations.

Landmarks around the grounds

The interactive map is limited to clearly located points that are useful to visitors:

  • Entrance at Thuner Platz: Entrance open to pedestrians.
  • Western pedestrian entrance: Western entrance with a rotating gate; open around the clock but not wheelchair accessible.
  • Cemetery chapel: Chapel near the entrance at Thuner Platz.
  • Visitor toilet: Wheelchair-accessible toilet facility.
  • Cemetery map: Information board for orientation within the grounds.
  • First World War memorial cemetery: Dedicated memorial area within the cemetery.
  • Thuner Platz stop near the cemetery: Bus stop immediately outside the entrance.

Entrance-point precision

The map shows the eastern entrance at Thuner Platz and a western pedestrian entrance. The western entrance is open around the clock but is explicitly not wheelchair accessible.

Locate a grave

The map is not a grave register. For an individual grave, you need its official section, row and grave number. A merely approximate location is not presented as an exact marker.
